“Game of Thrones” Sequel: “This Isn’t the End”: JON SNOW, Arya and Sansa Are Going to a New Serial, Bran – to Find Daenerys

A sequel of “Game of Thrones”

The ending of “Game of Thrones” is not the real ending!

By the finale the authors show that there should be a sequel of the TV series “Game of Thrones”: the characters Arya Stark, Jon Snow and Sansa Stark are going to a new serial, and Brandon Stark is going to find out where the dragon took Daenerys.

Bran, Drogon and Daenerys are just one of the open storylines of the TV series “Game of Thrones”. And the answer to the question why many viewers did not like the “Game of Thrones” ending is simple: this is not the ending of the story of the characters.

The main story is “A Song of Ice and Fire”, and “Game of Thrones” is just its beginning. The fact that the story of the heroes ended with the ending of the TV series “Game of Thrones” is a trick.

No need to guess how “Game of Thrones” was supposed to end, how does “Game of Thrones” end according to the book or why “Game of Thrones” ending is «bad» – it is exactly what you need, as the authors intended. And all the answers are already there: having deciphered symbols in the serial, you can see the real situation to which the characters have come, as well as find out what will happen to Sansa, Arya, Jon Snow, Brandon, Daenerys and other characters further – this is a Game of Logic which authors offer to the viewers, learn more in this video.

The explanation why the fact that heroes are dressed in black still, is so important, there is in the video Daenerys and Cersei Are The Black Queens and Jon Snow: “It Was Always My Colour.”

The text of the video about a sequel of “Game of Thrones”

The end of “Game of Thrones” gives an illusion of completeness, artfully created by George Martin and the creators of the serial, however, it is illusion, by symbols and logic of a plot it is shown that there has to be a continuation because:

Firstly, the final of the serial is open: Jon and Arya hit the road. The end of the serial consists not of final points, but of situations implying continuation – all characters are gonna somewhere: Jon – beyond the Wall, Arya – west of Westeros, the Small Council – to build (whether ships or brothels), Drogon – to carry Daenerys somewhere, and Bran – to track them down. Even Sansa, although the coronation can be considered an end, only is going to rule the North.

Secondly, the final is separated from the serial visually and by music and is made in the style of the teaser “Long Walk”. It turns out that the final is a teaser: three characters are designated — Jon, Arya and Sansa, who are going to a new serial.

Thirdly, there are open storylines still. For example, The Long Night has not come: stocks of food are made, but nobody began to freeze and starve. The Night King was defeated suspiciously quickly. If it was Night, it wasn’t long.

Archmaester: “But the tales of the Long Night can’t be pure fabrication.” Pay attention that in the soundtrack to the eighth season there are two compositions with the title “The Long Night” – Part 1 and Part 2. Perhaps, it’s a hint, and, the sprout in the final symbolizes “Dream of Spring.” This is the seventh book in «A Song of Ice and Fire» Series. “Dream of Spring” is a respite, it separates the first part of The Long Night which was shown from the second which will be further.

Sansa: “Once the real cold comes?” mean “Once the real testing comes?” Ice is a symbol of testing. It is shown that in the current cold even the seas are not frozen. The title of the book is «A Song of Ice and Fire». The frozen seas are ice, a symbol of real testings. They will begin when the prophecy comes true. Melisandre: “The cold breath of winter will freeze the seas.”

Another open storyline – the sons Craster. The old and dead White Walkers have crashed, but the sons of Craster are young and alive, because he didn’t kill them, and there are 99. The eldest Craster’s wife: “He didn’t kill them”, Craster: “You ever meet a man with 99 sons?”

Bran: “And Drogon? Any word?” — Sam: “He was last spotted flying east.” — Bran: “Perhaps I can find him.”

Drogon has taken Daenerys away, and Bran thinks it’s important to find them. This is the only thing he is going to do in person, and one more open storyline.

Also pay attention that at the very beginning of serial Arya asks twice: “Where’s the Imp?” But these characters, about which George Martin himself said in an interview that on their behalf it is most interesting to him to write, do not interact even once! That is, the storyline of Arya and Tyrion also has remained open.

Fourthly, most of the characters are dressed in black still. The end of the first episode of “Game of Thrones” symbolizes a result of all the serial: it seems that characters, as Bran, develop their abilities and achieve something (Bran climbs the wall after promising his mother not to.) Catelyn: “How many times have I told you? No climing”, Catelyn: “I want you to promise me, no more climing.” – Bran: “I promise.” But actually they go not there where they should go, break their promises, and as well as Bran, they will be thrown down, to the level where they really are. To disguise their position, authors express it through negative characters. In contrast to black, Jaime in this scene is dressed in light colour and symbolizes George Martin, who will ruin created in the end of the serial illusion of the achievments of the characters, whom he loves and wants to teach them a lesson to make them better. This is confirmed by the words of the characters themselves. “The things I do for love,” says Jaime and throws Bran down from the tower. “I would still be Brandon Stark. If you hadn’t pushed me out of that window,” says Bran. And Sansa says, “Without Littlefinger, and Ramsay and the rest, I would have stayed a Little Bird all my life.” The authors put the basic thought into the mouth of Arya, “Every hurt is a lesson and every lesson makes you better.”

Fifthly, Sam is also shown in light coloured clothes to focus on the book from the Citadel, where everyone wears light colour and where was being written real story – «A Song of Ice and Fire», while we were watching a distracting from this main idea “game of thrones.” As the author of the book, the Archmaester symbolizes George Martin, and the coincidence of the title with his Series of books says that «A Song of Ice and Fire» is that main story, which George Martin and the creators of the serial show us. A book is a symbol of wisdom. Sam: “The Citadel has the largest library in the world”, “It’s where they train the maesters.” The book written by Archmaester is the main wisdom, quintessence of the serial, collection of symbols, “marks on paper”. The book prompts that the real course of events is written in the serial by symbols and can be read. Gilly: “How do you know all that?” – Sam: “I read about it in a very old book.” – Gilly: “You know all that from staring at marks on paper?” – Sam: “Yes” – Gilly: “You’re like a wizard.” A wizard is every viewer, who can read marks and symbols in the serial.

Sixthly, “Game of Thrones” is the first book in «A Song of Ice and Fire» Series, and it is logical that the serial of the same name is the beginning of the story. The serial «Game of Thrones» is really ended because the war for the throne is ended, and its symbol – the Iron Throne – is destroyed. The final point was put by Drogon. But at the moment when Jon is going to move to the future, a composition called “A Song of Ice and Fire” begins to sound and continues behind the titres, after the end of the serial. That is «A Song of Ice and Fire» continues: the sequel follows afterwards. Bran: “How do you know there is an afterwards?” This is not a mocking phrase, but simply a question of authors voiced by Bran: “How do you know there is an afterwards?” There is also an answer on behalf of the viewer, voiced by Melisandre: “I interpret his signs as well as I can.”

Seventhly, signs include also phrases of characters by means of which the authors prompt that as Jojen says, “This isn’t the end. Not for you. Not yet.” This is an appeal to each viewer.

Eighthly, you may have noticed that the end of the serial is predictable: Tyrion is Hand, Sansa rules the North, Yara – the Iron Islands and Arya has gone away somewhere. After all roughly this we waited for. But an expected end is not George Martin’s style. That’s why the whole story can not end like this.

Ninthly, music is also a hint: “A Song of Ice and Fire” is brought to the usual final… but instead of ending, it continues. That is by music is also shown that instead of end there is a continuation. The characters are going into “A Song of Ice and Fire”. By the help of the music is creating a feeling of continuation. There are unexpected turns in it… And only then the real end of the song follows.

“How will we know the end?” asks Meera. Jojen answeres, “You’ll Know.” The phrase of Ser Meryn, “I’ll tell you when we’re done,” said in the ninth episode of the fifth season, is an addition to Jojen’s response. Thus, the phrases of the characters form a dialogue about the real end of the story of the heroes of the serial: “This isn’t the end. Not for you. Not yet. – How will we know the end? – You’ll know.” “I’ll tell you when we’re done.”

The guardsmen and the hostess of brothel with an hourglass in the ninth episode of the fifth season symbolize viewers, whom the creators of the serial leave in perplexity. Sand is a symbol of time. An hourglass is a symbol of a time frame, which is rejected by George Martin and the creators of the serial – this symbolizes ser Merin returning the hourglass. The authors do not finish the story of the characters with the end of the serial. The end of “Game of Thrones” is a trick, a game with viewers. The authors express their position through a negative character again. Ser Meryn in this scene speaks on behalf of George Martin: he will tell when they’re done, and viewers have to wait as long as it takes.

However, one of the main ideas of the authors is that viewers can already find out what will happen to the characters further. Because though it was shown only the beginning of the story (“Game of Thrones”), whole the book written by Archmaester is ready to be read. In it there is both what was already shown, and continuation, but written by symbols. To decipher the symbols is a game which authors offer to the viewers, expressing it by the help of Ramsay, “Let’s Play a Game”, and Tyrion, who says about a game, “It’s Fun!”

“Let’s Play a Game” “It’s Fun!” on Symbols’ Logic in the heading Game of Logic.
